Before using for the first time, briefly press the nozzle to prime the applicator. While the baby or child is lying down or sitting with his or her head to one side, carefully insert the end of the nozzle into the nose. Press the nozzle for 1 or 2 seconds.
Allow the excess solution to run out, then blow the nose. Repeat the process in the other nostril. After each use, clean the mouthpiece with hot water.
